Head of Nursing

Centre Médical Mieux-Être is currently looking for a head of nursing (new position under development)!

As the Head of Nursing, you will play a key role within the team, collaborating with management, site coordinators, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care. This position combines clinical and managerial responsibilities, overseeing and guiding nursing staff to ensure optimal and protocol-compliant care practices.

Required Profile

  • Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BScN)) and valid license.

  • Be ready to travel in the field: have access to a car and a valid driver's license.

  • Significant clinical experience in nursing, preferably in a medical clinic setting.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of nursing regulations and standards of practice.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with other healthcare team members.

  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and adaptability to different client populations.

  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.

Main Duties

  • Development of care protocols: Drafting and implementation of protocols based on the best clinical practices and regulatory guidelines.

  • Continuing education and integration: Designing and delivering ongoing training programs for nursing staff, as well as overseeing the integration of new employees and providing mentorship to less experienced nurses.

  • Quality assurance: Monitoring and evaluating the delivery of care; coordinating internal audits for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.

  • Equipment management: Ensuring the availability, maintenance, and proper use of medical equipment.

  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective care coordination and transparent communication.
